What to check

Snoring during sleep and constant noise while calmly awake are not the same thing. Notice whether the dog is working to breathe, how quickly breathing settles after an ordinary walk and whether warmth makes it worse. What to show the veterinarian

• A video of quiet breathing while the dog is relaxed.
• A video after an ordinary short walk, without deliberately exercising the dog.
• The time, weather, activity and how long recovery took.
• Any foamy vomiting, disturbed sleep, weakness or collapse.

When not to wait

Abdominal effort, blue or very pale gums, inability to settle, sudden weakness or collapse require an immediate call to the nearest clinic. Do not wait for Yuliia to reply in a messenger; update her after contacting the veterinarian.
