Why one schedule cannot fit every dog
WSAVA separates core vaccines from those selected according to local risk and lifestyle. Plans can differ for a city dog, a rural home or frequent international travel.
What to agree at the first appointment
- Dates for the next vaccines and follow-up visit.
- Safe places for walks and socialisation before the primary course is complete.
- Parasite prevention suited to weight, region and lifestyle.
- Separate timing for microchipping, rabies and documents when travel is planned.
