A puppy-safe home: checklist before arrival

Look at the home from puppy height: what could be swallowed, tipped over, chewed or fallen from? Prepare one calm area with a non-slip surface.

Remove the hazards

  • Keep medicines, household chemicals, batteries, nicotine and toxic foods behind closed doors.
  • Secure cables and remove bags, string, socks and small children’s toys.
  • Block access to balconies, stairs, rubbish bins and unstable furniture.

Make the space bulldog-friendly

Place runners on slippery floors and choose stable, low bowls. Keep the sleeping place away from radiators and draughts. A pen or baby gate manages space without constant correction.

Save the important contacts

  • Your regular veterinarian and the nearest emergency clinic.
  • The microchip number, insurance and document photos on your phone.
  • Yuliia’s contact for questions about the familiar routine and settling in.
