Use the skin as your guide
A healthy bulldog does not need a weekly bath simply because the calendar says so. A full bath is useful after heavy dirt, an unusual smell or as part of a veterinary skin plan. Between baths, inspect the folds, paws and tail area and keep them dry.
A calm bath step by step
- Prepare a non-slip surface, towels and a product made for dogs.
- Use comfortably warm water and avoid pouring it into the nose or ears.
- Rinse thoroughly because residue can irritate the skin.
- Dry the coat, folds and tail area completely.
When another bath is not the answer
Redness, moisture, discharge, a strong smell, pain or persistent itching may need treatment. Do not put random antiseptics, powders or human cosmetics in the folds. Take a photo, contact your veterinarian and update Yuliia if this is a Yugos Star puppy.
