Start with the exact route
- Country of departure, transit and final destination.
- Date of crossing each border.
- The dog’s age on that date.
- Mode of transport and the specific carrier’s rules.
The basic sequence
- Confirm that the microchip scans and its number is recorded correctly.
- Give the rabies vaccine after microchipping, or on the same day in the correct order.
- Observe the required waiting period after a primary vaccination.
- Check whether an antibody titre, tapeworm treatment or health certificate is required.
Cross-check every document
The owner’s name, microchip number, dates, vaccine batch, signature and stamp must all agree. Keep paper originals and digital copies. A single incorrect digit can disrupt a journey even when every procedure was performed.
Recheck shortly before departure
Rules change. Several weeks before travel, recheck the official destination-country, veterinary-authority and carrier pages. Yuliia can help with the puppy’s records, while the competent authority and carrier confirm final compliance for the route.
